About Spud Pest Control | Spokane & North Idaho Roots
Founded by brothers Blake and Brock, Spud Pest Control was built on a simple goal: Create a business that serves our family and community!
Our Story (The Spud Legacy)
Brock and Blake grew up an hour north of Spokane in Colville, Washington, raised on a family farm with deep local roots. Their grandfather and great grandfather moved to Colville from southern Idaho in the 1970s to farm spuds, a trade their father, Bart, helped with for years. Growing up surrounded by hay stacks and grain fields, mice and seasonal pests were a constant challenge. Managing those infestations firsthand sparked their early understanding of effective home protection.
When it came time to launch their business, tragedy struck when their father passed away unexpectedly. They named the company Spud Pest Control as an homage to their father, honoring his farming heritage and hard work. Living in the Inland Northwest their entire lives, Brock and Blake built Spud to deliver the kind of reliable, honest service their own family relied on growing up.
