How Does Our Post falls Pest Control Service Work?
Bi-monthly Service
Our most popular pest control service is our bi-monthly plan, proudly serving Post Falls. This plan is designed to tackle common Northwest pests, including ants, spiders, wasps, mice, and more.
Here’s how it works:
1. Initial Treatment
After we schedule a time that works best for you, we’ll perform an initial pest treatment. Depending on the specific pest issues you’re facing, the treatment may vary slightly, but typically includes:
– Sweeping eaves, windows, and doors to remove spider webs.
– Treating your foundation to eliminate active pests and establish a protective barrier around your home.
2. Protective Barrier
Our pest professional will apply a liquid insecticide to create a barrier around your home—treating your eaves, windows, doors, and the entire foundation (3 feet up and 3 feet out). We’ll also ask to enter your home to treat baseboards inside and create a full protective barrier. (inside is always optional) This prevents pests from entering your home and keeps your property protected.
3. Mice Control
If you opt for mice control, we’ll set up child and pet proof bait stations around your property to stop mice before they can infest your home.
4. Ongoing Protection
Your next service is exactly 2 months later, and you can count on us to arrive on time and keep your home pest-free. We never miss a service!
5. If Pest Come Back, So Do We!
If in between service dates a pest issue arises, a pest professional will come back free of charge to take care of it.
Our bi-monthly service plan is the best way to stay ahead of pests year-round in Post Falls!
One-time Service
Sometimes, to best serve our community, offering one-time services is the best thing to do. These are the five most popular one-time solutions
1. Ant Elimination
Oftentimes complete ant control requires a pest control professional. Pest Pros use products with a transferable effect. This means that when ants come into contact with the product, they’ll spread it to others they encounter, eventually affecting the whole colony. This process typically involves a treatment of baseboards inside the home and around the entire homes’ foundation.
2. Spider Spray
When spraying for spiders you want to use a product formulated as a controlled release insecticide. This keeps the strength of the products higher for a longer period of time, allowing for spiders to make their way out of hiding, walking over the product and dying. The spider spray process typically consists of removal of webs around the home from top to bottom and insecticide sprays on eaves, around windows, and the foundation.
3. Wasp Removal
Although fairly straightforward, wasp removal can be very dangerous. Depending on size and location of the nest, treatment usually consists of a kill on spot insecticide spray or residual spray. Followed by knocking down the nest, bagging it up, and hauling it away. Last but not least, treatment of areas conducive to wasp to keep any new one from reestablishing.
4. Mice Protection
Typically mice control will consist of setting up child and pet proof bait stations around your home to stop the mice from entering. Followed by baiting the crawlspace to get any mice that have already moved inside. Follow-up services occur every 2 weeks to refresh the bait until the mice have been eliminated. (Typically 6-8 weeks.)
5. Bed Bug Treatments
Bed bugs are the nastiest and hardest pests to get rid of. Treatment of bed bugs typically consists of liquid insecticide sprays in areas conducive to bed bug hiding. (Mattresses, Box Springs, Baseboards, Couches, Etc.) Bed bug services take 2-3 treatments spaced 30 days apart. This allows enough time for bed bugs to come out of hiding and die.

What Your Neighbors Are Saying About Spud Pest
Customer Success Story From A Post Falls Local
What’s the creepiest pest out there? We vote for the 8-legged, 8-eyed, web spinner. You got it, the spider! (especially the black widow)
Problem:
In October 2024, we had a homeowner, here in Post Falls, reach out and want a spider service. Outside of her home, the amount of spiders & webs was severe and this was leading to the spiders finding their way into her house. However, she didn’t want the inside of her home treated, making it a bit more tricky to solve her problem.
Solution:
Outside the home:
First, we removed webs from the foundation up to the eaves. This does 2 things. 1. It helps the curb appeal and helps clean things up. 2. It forces the spiders to walk across the areas we will be treating (thus dying). After sweeping the webs we treated around the doors, windows, and eaves using a liquid pesticide. Lastly, treatment of the entire foundation 3 feet up and 3 feet out. The amount of spiders that came scurrying out of the crevices was in the 100’s!
Inside the home:
Because the homeowner did not want to treat inside her home we opted for the next best thing. We treated the crawlspace to keep any spiders from making their way into the home. During the crawlspace treatment, we also noticed that their dryer was venting into their crawlspace. (a potential mold problem) We let her know so she could get it fixed. The last thing we did was provide her with a handful of glue boards to use as traps for spiders already inside.
Results:
Another absolutely spider-free post falls home in just a couple of hours!
This is what she said about the service:
“Spud Pest control did a fabulous job. Brock and Blake are very personable and kind. I opted to try a one-time treatment and they did not pressure me to continue nor sign up for the monthly service. Blake went the extra mile and noticed that perhaps my dryer is venting into my crawl space. That is not his job however, he noticed and being concerned he told me. Blake also gave me 4 spider sticky traps without an extra charge. Thank you Spud Pest Control! I will refer you to anyone looking for an honest, loyal and reputable company.”
A little About post Falls, idaho
Home of the Trojans! Post Falls has so many amazing recreational activities to offer. Like golfing at Prairie Falls Golf Club, or hooking onto a big trout at Q’emiln Park. If outdoor activities aren’t really your thing, but you enjoy having a meal out at a delicious low key restaurant we’ve got that too! Enjoy a burger at Rob’s Seafood and Burgers or some Mediterranean cuisine at The White House Grill. There’s a little bit of something for everyone in Post Falls. Above all else, Post Falls has some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. You could just be out for a stroll with the dogs at Black Bay Park walking along the Spokane River and everyone you pass will say hi with a smile! Hands down one of the best places in northern Idaho to live!
Though Post Falls’ upsides drastically outweigh its downsides, it still has a few. One is the constant pressure from pests. Some of the most common pests are: Spiders, Ants, Wasps, Mice, and even Bed Bugs! In Post Falls we get all four seasons, which means the need for Pest Control Services is never-ending. During the spring, the ant season hits its peak. Ants are some of the hardest pests for homeowners to get rid of. To control ants long-term, we use products with a transferable effect. Unlike typical over-the-counter ant killers, these products don’t kill ants instantly. Instead, ants pick up the product and spread it throughout the colony, ensuring complete eradication. Many times a call to a pest control professional is the easiest and fastest way to get rid of ants for good. Spring leads us into summer where wasps wreak havoc on people’s parties and BBQs. Sometimes nests in post falls can get so large that they hold 1000’s of wasps or hornets. Removal of these massive nests can be dangerous and sometimes requires a pest professional. Especially if you are allergic! Summer fades us into fall where spiders rear their ugly heads, coming out of the woodwork by the hundreds! If you’re lucky you won’t see the infamous Black Widow. The Black Widow is one of the most poisonous spiders we have in Post Falls. The good thing is, if you have regular pest control service keeping spiders at bay you definitely won’t come across one. As the colder weather approaches and we seek the warmth of our homes, so do the mice! In Post Falls, it’s not a matter of IF you get mice, it’s WHEN. As pest control professionals we use rodent bait stations (a safe way to use mice bait without a risk of exposing kids or pets to it) and rodenticides to ensure that your house doesn’t become their home!
We service all of Post Falls including the following neighborhoods: Highlands, Stateline, Spokane River, Pleasant View, McGuire, Grand Junction, East Green Acres.
